Opponents, pre-heat game plans, event prep, and qualifications
Scouting & Game Plans
For competitive coaching, Surflink includes opponent scouting, pre-heat game plans, event prep, and qualification tracking. These tools live on contest athletes' profiles and related pages.
Several of these are gated by feature modules (e.g.
opponents,game_plans,qualifications). If you don't see them, an org admin can enable the module -- see Organizations & Modules.
Opponent scouting
Track competitors with strengths/weaknesses profiles, head-to-head records, priority strategy notes, and heat matchup history. Opponents are managed via opponent cards and surfaced on contest athletes' competition tabs.
Pre-heat game plans
Build a heat strategy with:
- Opponent assignment
- Priority tactics
- A target wave count and score targets
- Key maneuvers
- Mental cues
Event prep
Prepare for a circuit event with board selection from the athlete's quiver, strategy notes, a conditions forecast, mental prep, a warmup plan, and a travel checklist.
Qualification pathways
Define qualification targets (rank or points thresholds) and Surflink computes live progress with status badges -- On Track / Bubble / At Risk / Qualified -- plus scenario simulation.
Compare athletes
Use Compare Athletes (/compare/athletes) to put any two athletes (roster or WSL) side by side: head-to-head metrics, a performance radar overlay, career stats tables, and event results.
